Wow, wouldn’t you love to live here? It’s a two-story penthouse apartment in NYC’s West Village, including an amazing rooftop. The design is by Ghiora Aharoni (who has some other drool-worthy pieces of architecture in his portfolio). Swoon.

My friend Rosie owns the amazing Quince Flowers in Toronto, and she’s just launched a super cool new service. It’s called Qt (which stands for Quince Truck, and if you say it fast enough it sounds like “cutie”, which is fun), and basically it’s like a food truck for market-fresh flowers.
Rosie’s team goes to the flower market early every morning, and posts their inventory on the website every day. You check the website to see what’s on the truck on any given weekday (no weekends), place an order online (before 2pm), and the truck will deliver the market-fresh flowers to your door later that same day. Or, if you see the Qt truck parked around Toronto, you can walk up and spontaneously order in person (kind of like an ice-cream or food truck).
You can also set up repeating orders for daily, weekly or monthly standing orders. Wouldn’t that be amazing, to get fresh flowers on the regular?!?

Ooooooh this is good. The shop next to Leslieville Pumps (at 935 Queen Street East) has had a sign saying “Good Things Come to Those Who Wait” in its windows for a long time. Apparently the wait is almost over, because the new shop, called Good Neighbour, is opening as soon as this weekend (according to blogTO).
The boutique will have a “dedicated mini-store” for the Drake General Store and feature collaborations with Love the Design. Swoon!
Ian, an avid home-brewer, is participating in Indie Alehouse’s Home Brew Tap Takeover for the second year in a row. He’s been working on a beer of his design for the past month or so with Jeff (head brewer at Indie, and pictured with Ian above) and it will be available next Sunday, September 14 in a special session from 1-4pm at Indie’s Barrel House. I cannot wait until the Drake Devonshire Inn opens later this month (it’s a hotel in Prince Edward County, by the same people who made the Drake Hotel in Toronto). They released some sneak peek photos of the new hotel, and it looks fantastic. See all 32 sneak peek photos here.

Ryan Adams is playing Massey Hall on November 12 and there’s a LiveNation presale tomorrow at 10am. We’ve seen him live a few times, and it’s always amazing. Watch him perform his latest song on Jimmy Fallon’s website here.
PS – Did you know that Ryan Adams is married to Mandy Moore? You know, from Tangled? That baffles me somehow.
I’ve been feeling unmotivated at work lately, and have been procrastinating and slacking off. I think it’s end-of-summer malaise. To shake things up a bit, I wrote to a couple of friends who also work from home, and asked if they’d like to meet up in coffee shops and work there instead. The change of scenery is great, and casually co-working with friends is fun. Today we’re at Brickyard Grounds in Leslieville (pictured above).
