Spectacular Hotel in Uruguay

19 July 2011 | 3 Comments

Isn’t this place jaw-droppingly gorgeous? It’s Playa Vik Jose Ignacio, a beachfront retreat in Uruguay. It features 2- and 3-suite residences, and there’s amazing art everywhere (including an Anselm Keifer sculpture and an installation by Pablo Atchugarry). If I’m ever in Uruguay (which, let’s face it, is not likely to happen any time soon), then I’ll have to check it out.

Avery, I just happened on this post of yours and had to read it. I guess I never told you I’m from Uruguay. You really do have to travel there. It’s beautiful country along the eastern coast and, so far, not terribly spoiled by tourism. If you like this hotel, you must check out artist Carlos Paez Valaro’s home/studio/gallery/hotel <a href="http://www.clubhotelcasapueblo.com/" Casa Pueblo.

I didn’t know you were from Uruguay! That hotel looks spectacular. Adding it to my dream list. =)
