Sahajan: Organic, Ayurvedic Beauty Products

sahajan

I’m so excited to share my friend Lisa’s new skin and haircare products with you. She just launched Sahajan – a line of products that are natural, organic, and formulated by Ayurvedic principles. I’ve been using the eye cream for the past week, and it’s pretty great. Not greasy, smells amazing, and really moisturizing. I’m a fan! I can’t wait to use the hair oil, body oil and face serum on my dry Canadian skin this winter. Check out all of Sahajan’s products here.

We’re in California This Week

sandiego

Ian and I flew to San Diego yesterday, so I could attend An Event Apart – The Design Conference for People Who Make Websites.  Ian’s exploring the city and going on brewery tours while I’m at the conference.  Later this week we’re g0ing to Palm Springs, to flake out in the dessert.  Soooooooo good.

PS – this is my 700th blog post.  Wowee zowee.

99 Reasons Why Toronto Rocks for Kids

As an awesome response to deputy mayor Doug Holyday’s completely asinine comment last week about raising kids in the city, Bunch has compiled a list of 99 Reasons Why Raising Kids in Downtown Toronto Rules.  This is such a good list of great stuff to do in the city, even if you don’t have kids.  An excellent resource – I’ve bookmarked it for future reference!

Designers I Admire: Dana Tanamachi

I saw this post on kottke.org and was blown away.  Dana Tanamachi is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer and “custom chalk letterer” (which might take the cake for coolest job title ever).  Of course she works at Louise Fili Ltd, where all that talent is being put to good use (sidenote: Jessica Hische used to work at Louise Fili).

Check out Dana’s portfolio on her website.
